Station class read a sea poem about sailing on the sea. We looked at the illustrations on the page and the children described the sea it depicted. The children brought up words such as angry and deep. The class made their own turbulent seas using sand and paint whilst paying particular attention to the frothy white waves. They cut their own boat shapes out to finish the scene.
