This week we started our 'Rocks' science topic. We found out about how igneous rock is formed and had a go at making our own chocolate igneous rock by melting chocolate and coconut oil, then pouring it over an ice cube. We watched how the chocolate soldified when it hit the ice cube just like lava cools and turns into igneous rock when it reaches the earth's atmosphere. We also ate some igneous rock( aka crunchy bar!).
